End-to-end delay bound analysis of VANETs based on stochastic method via queueing theory model

In recent years, Inter-Vehicular communication (IVC) is an envision of the intelligent transportation system (ITS). In vehicular ad-hoc networks, the vehicles will communicate with each other due to vehicle to vehicle (V2V) and vehicle to infrastructure (V2I). Various applications supported by VANTEs include transport efficiency, safety, infotainment, etc. The IVC performance analysis is useful for the evaluation of vehicular network deployment. IVC mainly focuses on V2V, V2I communication network performance analysis. The VANET framework for V2V, V2I communication networks depends on stochastic network calculus. Then Poisson distribution models describe the stochastic arrival and stochastic service curves to derive end to end delay bound. On the basis of proposed traffic models of stochastic network calculus (SNC) and time domain modelling, the analysis is provided for stochastic arrival and stochastic service curves of guaranteed communication. In addition, the analytical model of traffic flow theory by using the queueing theory of end to end delay bounds are compared and verified by the queueing theory model results in an M/M/c model.
