A new approach for software risk estimation

Software outsourcing has become extremely popular nowadays. However, with the rapid growth in software outsourcing many challenges and risks are associated with it. While developing software projects many difficulties may arise, out of which identifying and addressing the software risk factor becomes equally important. Due to lack of in-depth knowledge of risk control, many software projects fail to meet the deadline which causes either the shutdown of the project or increase in software cost. Thus, it requires a strong understanding of software risk management practices which may have challenging environment to control risk. So, the ultimate goal of this research paper is to identify and analyze the possible software risk factors and provide a new approach for estimating software risk using multiple regression method and finally the proposed approach has been verified.
