Design of implantable monopole inset-feed C-shaped slot patch antenna for bio-medical applications

We propose an implantable monopole inset-feed C-shaped patch with slot antenna to work at industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) band application. The proposed antenna has been designed with polyimide dielectric substrate (ε
r
= 3.4) flexible material. This proposed antenna has been simulated with consideration of muscle, skin, and fat tissues of human body electrical properties. This implantable conformal antenna works at 2.45 GHz with impedance bandwidth 201MHz and return loss of −20.65dB. We also present the specific absorption ratio (SAR), the radiation pattern, and the VSWR of proposed antenna in this paper. This implantable antenna is miniaturized and biocompatibility and can be used in Bio-medical applications.
