TSA antennas performance comparison for focal plane array

This paper presents a new approach for the design of a 2.5D Taper Slot Antenna for focal plane applications, covering the frequency spectrum from 1.5 GHz to 3 GHz. Dual-polarized rectangular array is compared to the triple-polarized hexagonal shape in terms of radiation patterns. Additionally, The parabolic reflector is included in the simulation for a full system evaluation. The two array shapes are analyzed, simulated and compared according to their gain, bandwidth and radiation pattern.
