L & S-band family of space qualified TWTs

L-3 Technologies Inc. (L-3), Electron Technologies Inc. (ETI) has recently developed a family of L & S-band traveling-wave-tubes (TWTs), offered in both conduction-cooled and radiation-cooled configurations. The family is space qualified and capable of producing between 130 and 325 W of saturated RF power at efficiencies exceeding 70%. Current production of the recently qualified 325 W, radiation-cooled, waveguide output S-band space TWT utilizes this family architecture, resulting in improved procurement, yield and cycle times while maintaining the performance and reliability L-3 ETI is known for.
