Mixed fiber optical parametric amplifiers for broadband optical communication systems with reduced nonlinear effects

In Fiber Optic Communication, Fiber optic parametric amplifiers (OPA) are recently developed optical system. These amplifiers are very helpful in long haul transmissions. One of these challenges involving in this is the non-linearity phenomenon that occurs when the optical signal is passing through the fiber cable. In this paper, an optical link is constructed using optisystem7.0 software. The nonlinearity effect is studied and analyzed based on BER and Eye diagrams. Nowadays OPA with reduced crosstalks have been manufactured. In this paper, technique proposed to reduce Four Wave Mixing (FWM) is Fiber Optical Parametric Amplification (FOPA) and the results from FOPA has been compared with other amplifiers reducing FWM.
