Closed loop control of a new non-isolated quadratic boost converter

This paper analyses transfer function of error voltage vs. duty cycle, that enables to form the closed outer voltage loop operating in continuous-conduction mode (CCM) for pulse width modulated (PWM) DC-DC converters. Average current-control mode (PCM) control is used for current control. Linear control theory is applied for loop compensator design. The suitable approach on proposed scheme is well visualized through simulation and experimental results using a practicality of input voltage of 24 V, output voltage ranges from 300 V, power rating of converter 75 Watts, voltage ripple 2 % of output voltage, current ripple 1 % of output current, with minimum THD and high efficiency.
