Field test study on full voltage no-load and 50% rated current load of 1000kV transformer

With the upgrade of voltage level of power transmission equipment, transform volume is more and more big, but subject to the restrictions such as highway, railway transportation conditions, some sites will be difficult to transport whole transformer to the construction site, or due to road reinforcement or renovation costs are too high, thus the engineering construction cost is increased greatly. Split type of UHV Transformer is used in 1000kV Jinzhong UHV project for the first time in the world, which refer to that after the completion of the test in the transformer plant, the whole set of windings, cores, leads, etc. of the transformer is disassembled and transported separately, finally, the transformer will be assembled as a whole after the project site. Because disassembly, transportation, assembly and so on about split type of UHV Transformer involve many links, and in the course of transportation, the iron core or winding also exists displacement, deformation and damp, and in the field assembly, two lead welds are required for the inter column lead, the risk of the transformer circuit safety is increased by these operations. According to the requirements of the project, the field full voltage no-load test and the load test under 50% rated current are carried out. In this paper, the test process and the test results are analyzed in detail, which provides a strong guidance basis for the later related work.
