Effect of environmental temperature on the flow inclination sensor with the structure of two-wire spherical sensitive cavity

Temperature field of the flow inclination sensor with the structure of two-wire spherical sensitive cavity is calculated under the different environmental temperature at θ = 10° and the effect mechanism of environmental temperature on the sensitivity is explained and verified by using the finite element. The calculation and test results indicate that the temperature field of the sensor changes in different environmental temperature. With the increasing of temperature, the average temperature difference ΔT of the thermistors decreases. The temperature coefficient of the average temperature ΔT with the change of temperature is 0.061K/°C, and the average relative deviation of the calculation results is 4.7% compared with actual value. In a certain inclination angle, the resistance difference ΔR of the thermistors and unbalanced voltage of check bridge output increase due to the temperature different ΔT increasing with the reducesing of the temperature. The sensitivity of the sensor improves and is 0.067mv/°C. This paper offers the theoretical and experimental basis for further temperature compensation and reducing temperature drift of the sensitivity of sensor.
