Performance Exploration for high Performance Simulation in Lightweight-Virtualization-Based Cloud

Container technology, as a lightweight virtualization technology, gets widely used in cloud platform, and provides several methods for deploying applications in containers. And different interconnection pattern among containers can bring influence on the performance. This paper firstly demonstrates that containers can contribute to good performance improvement for high performance simulation, and then compares the performance of three patterns among containers, and shows bridge pattern is the best. At last, this paper gives the on-going work: automatically choose a suitable pattern to achieve a better performance based on whether the two containers reside in the same host.
