Evaluation of arduino based das for condition monitoring of induction motor

This paper presents design of an industrial data acquisition monitoring system using Arduino prototyping platform and MATLAB software. It can overcome the shortcomings of poor flexibility and versatility of traditional data acquisition monitoring system. The Data Acquisition System (DAS) has been employed to collect the current data of a single-phase induction motor through USB communication. The prototype developed for experiment shows that data collection and monitoring system has features of being low cost, easy to use and wide range of application and has very important application for collection and monitoring data in industrial areas and laboratories. This cost-effective hardware platform along with adequate data processing capability can be used to monitor motors from abnormalities.
