Detection of arrhythmia while asleep through the use of an electrocardiogram integrated with a microcontroller and an alarming device

A cardiac arrhythmia is an abnormal beating of the heart. If the heart rate becomes too fast or the heart beats in an irregular fashion, the heart's ability to pump blood can be compromised, decreasing the flow of blood to the brain which can lead to light-headedness, loss of consciousness, or even death if the required actions are not done immediately. The main goal of the study is to alert someone when a person is experiencing irregularity of heartbeat while asleep. The study created a system and device that can monitor the heartbeat while the person is sleeping. The system detects if the person is experiencing severe irregularity of heartbeat that can lead to any unwanted or undesirable event. Because the person is helpless when arrhythmia attacks while asleep, the alarm circuit is triggered when an arrhythmia attack is detected. With this, the people nearby can perform immediate actions if ever the patient needed medical help.
