Metro Manila development authority color coding scheme violator detection through plate recognition using image processing

This paper presents an automated solution about the congested traffic in Metro Manila, Philippines. An implemented policy that enforces the color coding scheme is the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program. This policy aims to reduce traffic congestions, by restricting vehicles that matches the criteria based on the last digit of the vehicle's licensed plate. The system aims to detect coding vehicles in which the image will send it to the system that notifies authorities. This is possible through integration of image processing algorithms.
