Some of the Lessons Learned During the Construction and Use of Superconducting Magnets in the Last Decades

This paper relates some of the incidents that occurred involving the superconducting magnets. For obvious reasons, it is unlikely that these events are described in the literature. Some of them were experienced firsthand, others are known to all, and still others have been told by partners, customers, suppliers, or competitors. I cannot guarantee that they actually happened, but all of them have the characteristic of being realistic and, therefore, their story is still useful prevent them from actually occurring in the future.
