Designing statistical metadata service computing system based on service oriented Architecture (SOA)

Statistical Metadata plays an important role in defining the process and concept in statistical data. It has to be captured as early as possible in order to maintain its information quality. Statistics Indonesia treats metadata as a side product of the statistical process which leads to gaps during the conceptualizing and implementation process. As metadata captured once and reused along the statistical life cycle, SOA and web service could support the capabilities in form of computing system. The objective of the study is to design statistical metadata computing system based on Service Computing System Engineering (SCSE) framework. The contribution of the paper is to enrich the application of service computing system engineering framework.
