Research on mechanics modeling and factors analysis of flexible material R2R machining deformation

Roll-to-Roll (R2R) processing object is a kind of anisotropic flexible film material, in R2R machining manufacturing equipment subjected to external disturbances or changes in its performance which will have a bearing on deformation of those flexible films, material prone to fold, interlayer slip, damage and other quality problems. In this paper, structure model of R2R manufacturing system of flexible material is established, dynamic analysis of each module is carried out, tension expression equation is deduced, and effect of tension in the system is analyzed by finite element simulation. Analysis shows that change of volume diameter directly causes change of coils' mass and moment and inertia so on to influence tension fluctuation of coils', secondly. Smaller linear velocity of rolls can cause tension to fluctuate significantly, tension of flexible material and its elastic deformation are proportional to the integral value of transmission process, finally under the action of tension, maximum deformation of guide roller occurs at the middle of the roller shaft and gradually decreases toward both sides, and the deformation value increases with the increase of the tension.
