Behaviour of bow-tie antenna under the influence of metamaterials and genetic algorithm: Design and modelling of bow-tie antenna with EBG structures and genetic algorithm

In this paper, author has showcased the behaviour of Bow-Tie antenna with the presence of EBG structures in form of SSRR as the constituent part of metamaterials. These SSRR is directly etched in the ground plane without affecting its radiating patch. For the design purpose, FR-4 substrate is used with the epsilon value of 4.3 and thickness of 1.6 mm. With this, Bow-Tie antenna is scheduled to cover three resonating bands i.e. S-Band, C-Band and X-Band respectively. In order to justify parametric optimization, genetic algorithm is implemented out, which aimed to enhance its functionalities to the next level. Moreover ultimate result is to cite for the muti-band performances. MMIC Analysis in terms of L-C matching is carried with the help of combinations of distributed lumped elements. Not only it has strengthened the functioning of prototypes with achievement of better coverage of applications and improved gains as for a wireless communication domain.
