DIgSILENT modelling of a four-leg power converter using a triangular carrier wave

A remarkable amount of green power is being installed at the low voltage level through the installation of small-scale power generation facilities. Such small-scale generators utilize inverter-based technologies and operate in parallel with distribution networks. The modelling of inverter-based power generations need more investigations. The four-leg inverter plays a great role in handling unbalanced conditions in three-phase four-wire distribution networks. This paper presents DIgSILENT modelling of a four-leg inverter using a triangular carrier wave. Both average and detailed power converter models are used within the DIgSILENT power network simulation package. DIgSILENT simulation language (DSL) is also used to present the four-leg inverter performance in both steady-state and transient conditions.
