The unit cell of radiolight receiver

Radiolight is a local artificially created noise (noise like) wideband (ultra wideband) radiation field which is spatiotemporally incoherent in the radio or microwave range [1]. Getting on nearby surfaces and objects microwave noise-like radiation is partially absorbed, partly reflected and partially passes through surfaces. Thus, propagation of radiolight carries information about the environment with which it interacts. In this regard radio light like ordinary (discernable) light [2]: in both cases, is a non-coherent radiation with a broad spectrum which eliminates the effect of interference and raises the question to the evaluation of power and spectral characteristics of the received signal (as in case of color vision). The main distinction between the radiolight and ordinary light is the huge difference in frequency range, which results in a significantly lower resolution compared with ordinary light. There are at least two types of devices in radiotechnics which can be considered as an elementary radiolight receiver cells. The first one is a classical radiometer receiver sensor which is used in radio astronomy [3-6]. These devices used to receive signals with slow changing characteristics such (e.g., intensity, spectrum). The second one is a power receiver used in chaotical communication systems [7-9]. It is designed to receive noise-like signals modulated at a high speed when the number of received pulses per second can reach several millions or more. For such devices, a noise-like signal accumulation time is tens to hundreds of nanoseconds. Another important difference between power receivers and radiometer receivers is the dynamic range. The intensity of receiving signal in radio astronomy usually changes by 5 dB, whereas, the intensity of signal in power receiver can be changed by ~70 dB. Now the main requirements for the unit cell of radiolight receivers can be formulated: - At least 500 MHz frequency band. This requirement is consistent with the definition of the UWB signal - Signal accumulation time of 0.001-0.1 seconds - High dynamic range ~70-90 dBm.
