Chopper radiometer of new type: Synthesis algorithm and development of functional flow block diagram

The synthesis problem of the signal processing algorithm of modulation type radiometer at the output of which the parameter estimation of radio-thermal signal does not shift due to amplifiers instability in predetection section is solved using the latest achievements of the radio systems statistical theory. The synthesized signal processing algorithm is studied and brought to the form convenient for its technical implementation in a digital form. Such implementation can be performed, for example, on the modern high speed FPGA of firms-developers Altera or Xilinx. A block diagram of a superheterodyne type receiver which highlights the analog and digital parts is developing. Analog part includes antenna, modulator (pin-diode type), meander generator, mixer, heterodyne, band-pass filter on the intermediate frequency, amplifier, quadratic detector and low-pass filter, integrator with reset, amplifier and two ADC's. Digital part realize the signal processing algorithm on FPGA. Operability of this scheme is confirmed by a receiver model.
