Design and optimization of various coupling micro strip ring resonators

Microstrip resonators are generally utilized by RF/Microwave circuits. The resonators are in various geomentric structures such as ring, rectangular and circular. In this paper, we have analysed and designed the ring resonator by various coupling methods to obtain a better insertion loss. Coupling methods for ring resonator used here are: Loose coupling, matched loose coupling, Enhanced coupling, Annular coupling, and direct connection and Side coupling. These coupling methods are implemented using Advanced Design System (version2011.1). Among these coupling methods, Enhanced Coupling is the best method for improving the insertion loss.
