Applications of a reciprocity-based hybrid approach on EMS analysis of embedded planar capacitors and PG vias in multilayer PCBs

In previous work of the authors, a reciprocity-based hybrid approach has been proposed to analyze the electromagnetic susceptibility (EMS) responses of multilayer printed circuit boards (PCBs) due to the board-edge coupling. This paper focuses on its applications to estimate the performance of embedded planar capacitors and power-and-ground (PG) vias in multilayer PCBs for reducing external incident electromagnetic interference (EMI) to the loads on board.
