VSG based control application for inverter-interfaced distributed generators in microgrids

The distributed generation (DG) growth presents new grid configurations and needs, as it ensures frequency stability in grid connected mode as well as seamlessly operation in island connected mode. Control schemes for improvement of inverter-interfaced units operation are in constantly development. This paper presents a virtual synchronous generator (VSG) based topology for microgrids applications. A brief concept review is done and simulation results for the case study are presented.
