Implementation of MIMO-OFDM system with Space Time Block Codes using Simulink

The Multiple input multiple Output system (MIMO), in conjunction with the Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is taken into consideration as a promising answer for improving the data rates of upcoming generation wireless communication systems, operate within the frequency selective fading atmosphere. Space-time Block coding is popularly recognized as the transmit diversity technique which is used to resolve the channel fading issues within the wireless communication system. A MIMO-OFDM system by using STBC for two transmit and two receive antennas has been implemented to reduce the Bit Error Rate for wireless communications. Hence we examine the effect of BER of the proposed system for numerous modulation schemes like Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK), Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (QPSK), 8-Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (8-QAM), 16-Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (16-QAM), 32-Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (32-QAM), and 64-Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (64-QAM) are simulated using Simulink.
