Microcontroller based combination of two distinct power electronic converters

This paper develops a microcontroller based combination of two distinct converters in a single circuit that is generally used as cycloconverter. In particular, a rectifier is added in the direct frequency changer circuit named as cycloconverter. The outputs for cycloconverter and rectifier operations are separately analyzed and the corresponding switching pulse generation is done by a microcontroller unit, which is coded according to the expected operations. The circuits are simulated using the Proteus. All the outputs obtained from the simulation are satisfactory and achieve the purpose of the work.
