NAIDS design using ChiMIC-KGS

The tasks of IDS is to detect activities in the form of intrusion by unauthorized parties which attempt to gain access to information unlawfully in a network environment. Changes in intrusion strategies affect the behavior of networks where the representation of network traffic data changes over time. The nature of the network data has high volume and dimension and contains redundancy. This study proposes the use of ChiMIC as a method to reduce redundancy features and select the relevant features to be used in detecting anomalies on the network, where KGS is used as an anomaly detection engine. Both approach are used to build NAIDS that has capabilities to detect the emergence of new attacks over time.
