Numerical model of microwave heating to organic reaction

Many organic chemists have reported the fact that microwave heating of chemical reactions increased reaction rates dramatically. The thermal distribution and time dependent temperature is the key problem to study the theory of the microwave heating effect. In this paper, a numerical model of microwave heating of a chemical reaction is presented, which provides a new way to study the theory of chemical reactions under microwave radiation. The finite difference time domain technology is used for discretization in Maxwell's equation and the explicit finite difference scheme is used in the force heat equation. The thermal distribution and time dependent temperature during the chemical reaction under microwave radiation are obtained by simultaneously solving the two equations in terms of iteration.
