A novel lotus-leaf-shaped wide-band wide-beam antenna design

In this paper, a novel design of wide-band wide-beam antenna is proposed. A lotus-leaf-shaped metal surface is used to increase beamwidth of antenna. Four L-shaped probes are applied for circularly-polarized excitation. In order to improve the radiation performance, a wideband frequency selective surface (FSS) is added into the antenna.
