Operational approach for Doppler-polarimetric estimating intensity of turbulence in rain

In this paper, we develop an operational approach for turbulence intensity estimation in rain using the spectral differential reflectivity curve analysis. The advanced phenomenological rain model was built to provide simulated realtime spectrum data, as well as experimental verification was made for thunderstorm weather conditions.
