The antisurge protection of a centrifugal compressor

The article deals with the investigation of the antisurge protection systems and mathematical modeling of systems for gas pumping units that are based on centrifugal compressors with the antisurge valve or bypass. Existing antisurge protection systems for pumping units are reviewed, with revealing a number of disadvantages in the use of blow-off valve or the bypass system. The work of a system of the antisurge protection based on a surge indicator is proposed. It is concluded that the research and improvement of energy efficiency of the antisurge protection system of centrifugal compressors are relevant.
