Hybrid capacitive sensors for the monitoring system of hydro- and turbo generator

In this paper, hybrid capacitive sensors for the electric machines faults monitoring system are investigated. This sensor combines the advantages of fiber optic and microelectronic technologies. Optical powering and data transfer is a key for enable development of simple and economic primary sensor for monitoring, control system which have immune to electromagnetic fields, have low thermal and mechanical inertia, have immune to electrical noise and e.t.c. Sensor application for the measurement mechanical parameters fault in the hydro-and turbo generator (air gap and core compression ratio) was determined. The presented system makes available development of hybrid capacitive sensor for control system of mechanical parameters of hydro- and turbo generators. The purposed design hybrid capacitive sensor can be easily adapted for measurement of various mechanical parameters of hydro- and turbo generators.
