System modelling and simulation of interconnected wind — PV standalone

This manuscript presents the modelling of solar photovoltaic and wind driven permanent magnet generator systems implementing maximum power tracking algorithms using a buck-boost converter. Hill-climbing search algorithm is implemented to extract maximum power from wind turbine system and incremental conductance for a PV system. An effort to interconnect two renewable sources is proposed and implemented as a standalone in MATLAB/SIMULINK. The wind energy and PV systems are interconnected through dc-dc converters feeding an ac load through sine pulse width modulated inverter.
