Specifications-driven design of hexa-output flyback converter for transceiver applications

In this work, a low-power flyback converter with six output is designed and implemented with given specifications. In this proposed converter, an input voltage range of 60-75V and UC1846 IC is employed to provide gating pulses to main power switch with switching frequency of 100 kHz. In six outputs, three are continuous wave (dc) and remaining are pulsed output with two pulse repetition frequency (PRF) configurations is realized. Two PRF configurations with two different duty cycle are implemented. It has features of telecommand (TC) on and off, TeleMetry (TM) status, external synchronization signal circuits, EMI filter and over current protection (OCP) circuit is employed at input stage and control signals circuit for pulsed outputs is employed at the output stage. Proposed converter size is reduced by using Hybrid Micro Circuit technology. Experimental results and waveforms are provided to validate the design.
