Vertical split-ring resonator metamaterial for isotropic absorption and sensor

The four VSRRs are combined an isotropic perfect absorber which is independent to the polarization orientation and angle of incidences. Furthermore, it can also be a refractive index sensor with significant improvment of sensing performance.
