SVC control strategy based on FBD and LMS algorithm

The basic principle of Fryze-Buchholz-Dpenbrock (FBD) theory is analyzed, which is used to construct the static var compensator(SVC) control strategy. In order to avoid the limitation of low pass filter(LPF), the least-mean-square(LMS) adaptive filter theory is combined with FBD algorithm to detect fundamental positive and negative sequence currents, which are used to calculate the equivalent susceptance in reactive power compensation based on C. P. Steinmentz theory and symmetrical component method. The results of simulation modeled by MATLAB/Simulink show that the improved control algorithm is feasible and effective.
