Slim Ka-band triple band polariser network for user and gateway antenna feed application

This paper presents a newly developed slim triple band capable Tx/Rx polariser network in K/Ka-Band covering user and gateway sub-bands e.g. 17.3 GHz-20.2 GHz (downlink), 24.65 GHz-25.25 GHz and 27.5 GHz-30.0 GHz (up-link) for a high throughput satellite (HTS) antenna application. This new broadband feed chain consists of a triple band capable diplexer, a six-port orthogonal mode junction (OMJ), a magic-turnstile, and septum polarisers for circular polarisation. A dual band horn with high aperture efficiency can be adapted to the polariser network to provide specific transmit and receive communication service.
