Decoupling adaptive control strategy research on 500kV UPFC

In this paper, multi-target adaptive system control strategy of UPFC is proposed based on 500 kV UPFC in Suzhou southern grid. With the proposed strategy, transmission lines will operate at target power under normal condition, while power line overload occurs due to N-1 failure or changes of operating conditions, the strategy gives priority to ensure that the power line does not exceed its power limit by using the adaptive module. The simulation results show that the proposed UPFC multi-target adaptive system control strategy can achieve the expected control effect during the normal operation of the system and even the failure occurs.
