A-real time smart sprinkler irrigation control system

Agriculture is a backbone of India and also it placea vital role in Indian economy. But Nowadays, the farmers are facing a main problem is lack of rains and scarcity of water. The major objective of this paper is to introduce an automated sprinkler for irrigation in land to assist in the production of crops and also know the exact field condition, which help to saving money, water, power and time. The whole entire system is controlled by Arduino ATmega328 microcontroller, this microcontroller programs to give an interrupt signal link to the sprinkler. Temperature sensors, soil moisture sensor, humidity sensors and GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication)module are interfaces with microcontroller, Whenever the humidity, temperature and moisture level of the surrounding is changed it gives an interrupt signal to microcontroller and the sprinkler is automatically ON and GSM send message to corresponding farmer mobile. In addition we also introduce a web cam to monitor the plant growth and insects level in field condition. The webcam is used even when the farmer is not in the field.
