Research on impact dynamics simulation of high-voltage circuit breaker's transmission system

In the switching process of the high-voltage circuit breaker (hereinafter referred to as CB), it's not applicable to analyze transmission parts' stress with static analysis method, instead of impact dynamics method. In this paper, one type high-voltage CB is taken as an example, under the consideration of inertia force, friction force, and pressure reaction, the stress on the transmission system's main parts and mechanical response in the whole on-off switching process are achieved. Based on these data, the material and structure of main transmission parts are re-selected and optimized. The research shows stress concentration at the pin hole is very prominent and meanwhile the closer to the end of the drive chain the part is, the much smaller the impact stress is. Under the condition of changing each transmission part's material from 45 steel to 7A04 aluminum, the stress of key positions shows a decreasing trend, and the closer to the end of the drive chain the part is, the much less obvious the decreasing trend is. However, the decrease of material rigidity causes the amplitude of nozzle to increase, the influence of which on insulation performance is needed to be further evaluated.
