3-Ω 4-Wire UPQC topologies for reduced DC-link voltage rating

Unified power quality conditioner (UPQC) is a custom power device which is used intended for mitigation of voltage and current associated power quality problems in power distribution system. The considered topology to take a reduced dc-link voltage which enables the UPQC deprived of conceding its compensation capability. Active power filter mainly classified based on converter used i.e. constructed on the converter type, topology and the quantity of phases, and the topology can be shunt, series otherwise combination of both and the other can be also on number of phases in system. The choice of the dc-link capacitor and voltage source inverter (VSI) is argued now this paper for improving power quality.
