Interaction of electromagnetic waves guided by a plane slab with enhanced density in magnetoplasma

The interaction of electromagnetic waves guided by plane duct with enhanced plasma density in homogeneous background magnetized plasma is considered. The parametric instability of the guided waves propagating in the opposite directions is analyzed in the cases where the magnetoplasma is either nonresonant or resonant. For some practically interesting cases, numerical results illustrating the wave interaction are presented.
