Third-order optical nonlinearities of PbS-polymer nanocomposite with excitation of femtosecond pulses

We present an experimental study of third-order optical nonlinearities in the new PbS-polymer nanocomposite, using the Z-scan technique with femtosecond laser pulses at 780-nm wavelength. The mechanisms responsible for the observed nonlinearities are also discussed.
