Investigation of communication standard IEC 60870 used to create substations remote control systems

This paper presents research results of industrial standard IEC 60870, presents design engineering data communications network using a standard for supervisor control system in electrical power engineering. The aim of the work is creation of realistic physical model multistaged network, quality level analysis this model and quality level analysis link protocol IEC 60870-5-104. Finally, article ends with approaches and methods of this task solution.
