Design of solution pigment concentration detection system based on optical fiber spectrometer

A system based on fiber spectrometer was designed to detect the concentration of various artificial pigments contained in the solution. Using this system, the absorbance curves of five kinds of artificial colors of lemon yellow, sunset yellow, carmine, bright blue and amaranth were measured, and the absorption coefficient of each pigment at different wavelengths was calculated. The reliability of the system verifies by detecting the concentration of each pigment in mixed pigments solution, the experimental results show that the relative error is within 5%. Further, the system was used to detect the concentration of artificial pigments in a series of fruit flavor sodas of Coca-Cola company.
