The closed-loop design for Buck Chopper circuit

The Chopper Circuits are widely used in practical applications, but the voltage output of open-loop Buck Chopper could not meet application requirements on stability, accuracy and rapidity. Aiming at these existing problems, this paper presents a closed-loop design, which constitutes the negative feedback by adopting incremental PI regulation and PWM control, to obtain stable and accurate output. Meanwhile, the superiority of incremental PI regulation has been also verified through the comparison with the position PI regulation. The experimental outcomes of simulation based on Multisim illustrate that the design would have fully achieved expected results.
