Identification of weakest bus in large power system

Voltage is the essential part of the power system response and it is significant aspect of system stability and its safety. Outcome of voltage imbalance is results in monotonically declining voltages. FACTS devices play an imperative role in upgrading the functioning of power system so need to be placed optimally. PV evaluation is broadly used in the industry for investigating voltage security problems. However, it doesn't specify any data concerning uncertain facilities with voltage stableness issues in the system. This paper introduces a line stability index method to decide weakest bus of the system to placed STATCOM optimally for rising voltage magnitude.
