Based on the Ansoft 500kV SICSFCL Simulation Analysis

Because of its own characteristics, the Superconducting fault current limiter has a good effect on the current shock when the short-circuit fault occurs. In this paper, the effect of Saturated Iron Core Superconductive Fault Current Limiter (SICSFCL) in 500kV/3160A are discussed. Based on the analysis of the working principle of SICSFCL, build the 500kV/3150A model using Ansoft software SICSFCL, analysis of the steady state and 60kA phase short-circuit fault when working characteristics. The electromagnetic simulation and analysis show that the SICSFCL has a good effect on the short-circuit current of the 500kV power grid, which can meet the requirements of safe and reliable operation of the electrical equipment in the power grid.
