3D integrated circuits multifactor placement

A multi-parameter criterion and an appropriate approach for the arrangement of elements on the crystal surface for individual integrated circuit (IC) levels is proposed. The proposed placement criterion is identical to the traditional criteria for minimizing the total length of connections between the elements which makes it possible at the placement stage to apply an additive multi-parameter criterion for the joint accounting of the electrical and thermal modes of functioning of IC elements.
