International standardization and its applications in industrial wireless network to realize smart manufacturing

Smart Manufacturing makes it possible to visualize variety of information in the field by networking and integration of various equipment, to realize improvement in production efficiency and safe plant operation. Field wireless network is already being introduced to the industrial automation domain as a key element technology to contribute smart manufacturing. In this paper, we will discuss the latest trend of international standardization and use cases of field wireless network for process automation.
