The antenna alignment on space object radio signals

The problems of antenna alignment based on the received radio signals radiated by space objects with a known angular position are discussed in the report. The obtained analytical relations enable to produce unbiased, the consistency and asymptotic efficiency of the resulting estimations of the angles of antenna orientation in region. The antenna alignment is carried out on base of these angle estimations. The advantage of the proposed approach to alignment is the ability to adjust the antenna on the results of single measurements performed by radiation of one space object. The antenna alignment is based on the minimization of the functional generated by measurements of the angular position of the space objects with known angular coordinates relative to the antenna. The application of multiple signals of space objects allows improving the alignment accuracy of the antenna. The results of numerical simulations confirming the possibility of practical application of this approach. This approach is common for antennas of various types, including reflector antennas and antenna arrays.
